TIPHAINE

Tiphaine originates from France and now works in London in Marketing. She writes a life and style blog called Almost Home Diary.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: I'm French, and I think this is the best word to describe my style, at the same time chic and effortless.

Q: Which person past or present influences your style?

A: I cannot say that my style is influenced by someone in particular, but I do like Diane Kruger,  Alexa Chung, and Olivia Palermo's styles.

Q: Are there any fashion trends you followed but wish you hadn’t?

A: I never followed fashion trends that I should or could be ashamed of, to be honest. As I said, I'm really classic so that makes me avoid a lot of fashion-faux-pas.

Q: Why did you pick the Rita Trousers?

A: What I love the most is the shape of them. The trousers give you amazing long legs, and are so comfortable to wear!

Q: Describe your average day.

A: My average day is actually quite boring as I can sum up it as working! I usually try to go gym once or twice a week after work. My free time is dedicated to my friends, and writing my blog.

Q: What do you look for when you’re buying clothes?

A: I definitely think that less is better. I like a good quality piece which gonna make the difference in an outfit.

DONNA

Donna is, first of all, Isabelle's chic mum and her main inspiration. She lives and works in Manchester, running her retail manager job as well as teaching pilates. She is currently in her final year of training as a nutritionist.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: Classic, understated, navy!

Q: Which person past or present influences your style?

A: From the past Elizabeth Taylor, the present I would aspire to Cate Blanchett who always looks stunning.

Q: Are there any fashion trends you followed but wish you hadn’t?

A: As a child of the 80s plenty; mainly ruffles, frills and leg warmers.

Q: Why did you pick the Brigitte Co-ord?

A: I picked it because, first, I love navy and, secondly, because they are so versatile. They look great as a set but can also be split to be mixed with other items I already have. They are super comfortable as well.

Q: Describe your average day

A: It depends on the day. I tend to wake really early. Sometimes I go for a run or to the gym before work which can be either my main job as a retail manager or teaching Pilates which I do one day a week. I am also studying part time so evenings are often spent revising. On Sunday I love walking in the West Pennine Moors, 5 minutes from home.

Q: What do you look for when you’re buying clothes?

A: Definitely quality; I would rather buy less but have better quality. Also, fit and wearability- how it would fit into my lifestyle and existing wardrobe.

JELIA

Jelia works as a human rights barrister in London. She speaks several languages, loves to travel and dance tango.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: Understated, modern and chic.

Q: Which person past or present influences your style?

A: I don’t think my style is influenced by a particular person but there are many women whose dressing philosophy I admire, such as Charlotte Gainsbourg, Kate Moss, Alexa Chung and Phoebe Philo.

Q: Are there any fashion trends you followed but wish you hadn’t?

A: Yes! I’m not sure it was ever a ‘fashion trend’ but I went through a random bandana phase when I was 14. Luckily it was short lived.

Q: Why did you pick the Jean Dress?

A: I love the tailoring, length and detail. It’s exactly the sort of dress I would choose to wear in the summer.

Q: Describe your average day.

A: As a barrister there is no such thing as an average day- which is part of the reason why I love my job. I’ll be up any time between 5am and 8am depending on whether or not I am in court. If I have time I try to do yoga in the morning- I discovered Mysore about a year ago and try to get a practice is whenever possible - and then I’ll either head into Chambers or go to court. I work pretty long hours but those evenings when I am free are spent catching up with friends and family or going to tango lessons.

Q: What do you look for when you’re buying clothes?

A: Good tailoring, good quality materials – which is something I get from my mum, who always emphasised the importance of good quality fabrics to me – and durability; I don’t tend to follow trends, so I look for something that will last.
